Today’s lick covers the G Major scale over two octaves. The trick is sliding with my pinky finger while ascending, and using my index finger to slide while I'm descending. When it comes to learning scales most people stick to learning the standard one octave shapes, BUT a two octave pattern will help you visualise the scale across the whole of the fretboard and not just in a single position.
